A painting, submitted for assessment at the Museum of Fake Art, turns out to be a genuine Jan Sluijters. A couple from Ruinerwold inquired two years ago whether a painting that had been in their family for years could be authentic. After thorough investigation and extensive cleaning, an expert has now attributed the painting to Jan Sluijters.

The painting ‘Ode to Art’ was unveiled on Thursday afternoon at the Roesd art and gift shop in Tolbert. It is a triptych created by no fewer than twenty-five painters. This is a unique event, as it is rare for multiple painters to collaborate on a work of art.

The organization of the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam 2024 (October 9-13) has selected a number of Masters to participate: Roos van der Meijden, Hannelore Houdijk, and Marcel van Hoef. Blythe Bolton, the director of the art fair, would like to place more emphasis on realistic painting of the highest level.

In order to bring the other Masters to the attention of the art lovers present, in addition to the 3 artists present, we are compiling an A5 booklet (edition of 2,500 copies).
