Hannelore Houdijk to Exhibit at Huizer Museum

Hannelore Houdijk will hold a solo exhibition in the large exhibition hall at the invitation of the Huizer Museum this autumn. The exhibition, entitled ‘Beneath the Surface,’ will feature previously unseen work by the talented painter.

For Hannelore, her paintings are an attempt to capture and preserve vulnerable and transient beauty. Everything that is beautiful passes. A moment, a special incidence of light, or movement.

Once a year, the Huizer Museum hands over the key to the large exhibition hall to a regional artist with enormous potential, hoping to stimulate interesting interactions between local artists and the museum audience.

From October 5 to November 9, 2025 in Huizen.

Report on Lille Art Up! by Amarins Lyklema

“Join me on this unforgettable journey as I exhibit my largest painting to date at one of France’s largest art fairs. Thanks to Masters of Realism, I am not only exhibiting my work, but I am also standing alongside three other masters (Robert Ram, Alfred Ophof and Bert Hermans). Watch me experience an overwhelming response from art lovers of all ages – even a major local TV station comes by!

From intense moments with a huge crowd to sincere reflections on the art market and personal growth, this video is a real-life experiment at an art fair. Was my painting sold or does it offer new opportunities? And what does it mean for my next project – a smaller work I’m vlogging about?

Don’t miss the behind-the-scenes action and take a look into the vibrant world of art fairs. Like, subscribe and stay tuned for more art adventures!”

And then, two weeks after Lille Art Up!, an update from Amarins followed:

“There was someone who had taken photos of my work at the fair in Lille, who showed it to someone else. Those people viewed the work yesterday and they bought the painting! They live 40 minutes away from me 😊 so a nice end to the fair after all. I am of course very happy. 🎉”
