A series of more than 20 paintings of a ladybug on a teddy bear consisting of a strange and unexpected choice of materials.

From 1998, I painted very successfully as a professional artist in a sort of Pop Art style. Until, in 2016, I turned the switch overnight and decided to continue in a realistic style. Something I had been planning for a very long time, but which I never got around to due to the high demand for my Pop Art work. Hence the resolute change of style. This painting is one of the first realistic paintings I made, and one I am very proud of to this day.

To me, an egg symbolizes life, existence. And with this painting, I want to express that life should be lived as consciously as possible. Get the most out of it. Make it a meaningful celebration and add as much color to your existence as possible. After all, it is over in the blink of an eye.
