In the series Portraits of Identity, I explore the portrait as something that can never be fully captured. Each work balances between recognition and distortion, between construction and deconstruction. In this way, the portrait does not become a fixed image, but a process, a continuous shift of identity. What remains is a tension between presence and absence. The painting process remains visibly present and influences the ultimate meaning of the work.
